Collection: Caroline Lewis - Pastel Artist

I'm a pastel artist based in Riccall, I live with my husband Charlie and three dogs, Gus, Bobby & Bella. I also have two grown up twin daughters.

I was born on a farm less than two miles away near Escrick surrounded by wildlife, farm and domestic animals.

I started to draw at an early age and have tried most mediums, I also gained a City & Guilds in Interior Design and decorative paint techniques.

Around 15 years ago I badly broke my leg in a riding accident and went to a demo in painting with pastels by Catherine Inglis. I went to one of her classes and I was hooked, from then on I've mainly worked in pastels, creating the wildlife I grew fond of as a child.

I've sold many paintings both here and abroad, I also take commissions of animal and people portraits.
