There is a beauty in the lives that have been lived. The pain and the joy experienced each leave their mark , reaffirming the impermanence of our human form. 

Hannah Turlington's "Beauty in the Remnants of Life" captures the raw impermanence of human existence. With a professional, objective tone, this collection delves into the chaos of life, grounding itself in the simplicity of nature. Through collected items, Turlington tells the stories of our lives, both joyous and painful.

I think a lot of- thoughts collide and leave me questioning.

Questions that merge into a chaos that I carry with me.

The work I create comes from that turmoil- at times making no sense until it is finished. 

Grounding myself in the simplicity of nature and the things that I have no control of, allows me to open myself to possibilities. 

The things we collect tell the stories of our lives - our joy - our pain - our grief and reveal the deepest parts of us. 

I collect things from my days on this earth. 

Some of them living, some just beautiful and some on the edge of death. 

The things I love most are those that are hanging on to the remnants of life. 

I keep them safe - displaying them with respect and the reverence they deserve. 

I am the guardian of the overlooked - noticing- keeping them safe - bringing them to life again through my work.
