Claire Castle - Tree Portrait, 'Looking Up II'

My tree portraits explore the concept of guardians through nature’s most ancient sentinels: trees. Just as traditional guardians serve as protectors and guides, my trees stand as natures custodian, providing shelter, sustaining ecosystems, and marking time’s passage through seasons, in the colours and patterns I incorporate. In our era of environmental consciousness ‘Looking Up II’ also aims to remind us of our role as guardians of nature itself.
